 Al Baxa |
Afternoon drive on-air personality and Chief Engineer, Al Baxa, is a 1971 graduate of Brown Institute in Minneapolis. Al used his technical background while working in consumer electronics in Minnesota. In 1984, Al gave up the cold winters and moved to Southwest Florida. He has used his broadcast skills, as well as his technical experience, first at WSGL in Naples. In 1988, Al joined WAVV, where he has been ever since. Al and his wife Terri reside in Naples. Their daughter Katy, is a student at FGCU, majoring in education. |
 Paul Conrad |
Paul is originally from Buffalo where he started in radio at WPHD. He came to Florida in 1983 and worked at WRCC Cape Coral until 1989 when he left to work at WOLZ. Paul has been at WAVV since 1996 and can be heard with Mike on the weekday morning show. Paul also began doing some TV work in 1993 with movie reviews for WBBH-TV. That opportunity led to a weekend weather job at WZVN-TV, which he did for three years, and now fills in occasionally. Sunday afternoons during football season, you'll find him watching Buffalo Bills games with the Bills Backers of Southwest Florida at Groove Street Grill in Fort Myers. Paul and his wife, Penny, reside in Fort Myers, along with their two dogs, Tia and Toby. |
 Kenny Lamb |
Midday on-air personality and Operations Manager, Kenny Lamb, is a Cleveland, Ohio native who got his start doing college radio at Cleveland State University while earning a B.A. in mass communication, then worked at WPAS and WPLA near Tampa before coming to Southwest Florida in 1985. He was midday on-air personality and Production Director at WSGL in Naples before joining WAVV in 1987. Kenny and his wife, Laura, live in North Naples with their seven year old son, Nathan, and two year old daughter Isabel. |
 Mike Reilly |
Mike has been partnered with Paul Conrad on the WAVV 101.1 morning show for eleven years. A Cleveland native, Mike and his wife, Missy, married in 1975. They have two grown children and one grandchild. Their daughter, Theresa, is married and lives in Los Angeles. She and her husband have a baby girl. Mike and Missy’s son, Jeff, is a student at FGCU and works in the clubhouse at Windstar on Naples Bay. After their shift, you’ll often find Mike and Paul on the local tennis courts.
