Paul Conrad is originally from Buffalo where he started in radio. He came to Florida in 1983 and worked at several radio stations before starting at WAVV in 1996. He can be heard Monday through Friday mornings, 7 to 10AM, and Saturdays 6 to 10AM. Paul and his wife, Penny, reside in Ft Myers, along with their two dogs, Tia and Toby, and their four cats Tyrone, Tessy, Tootsie and Noah.
Midday on-air personality and Operations Manager Kenny Lamb is a Cleveland, Ohio native who got his start doing college radio at Cleveland State University while earning a degree in Mass Communication. He worked briefly in the Tampa market before coming to Southwest Florida in 1985. After a 2-year stint as Production Director and midday announcer at WSGL in Naples, he joined WAVV shortly after the station went on the air in 1987. Kenny lives in Naples with his wife, Laura and their 2 children.
Afternoon drive on-air personality and Chief Engineer Al Baxa is a 1971 graduate of Brown College in Minneapolis. Al used his technical background while working in consumer electronics in Minnesota. In 1984, Al gave up the cold winters and moved to Southwest Florida. He has used his broadcast skills, as well as his technical experience, first at WSGL in Naples. In 1988, Al joined WAVV, where he has been ever since. Al and his wife Terri reside in Naples, with their dachshunds, Scooby, Sherman, and Ginger. Al and Terri can often be found at area locations playing trivia, and they currently host live trivia every Wednesday evening at Naples Flat Bread in the Mercato.
